Time saving for plant engineers and operators
SKADEC recently presented its newly developed cloud solution. For plant builders and operators, this is a forward-looking remote maintenance solution, with which the technicians’ scarce time is not left on the road, especially in the case of multiple locations, but can be used for the targeted resolution of malfunctions.
With the SKADEC Cloud, full access to all relevant data and functions of the machine is guaranteed. The integrated Fleet Manager thereby centrally manages and monitors all serviced equipment and enables remote fault analysis and troubleshooting. “With this software solution, our customers can get up to 80% time savings – depending on the type of potential faults.” Christopher Hammel, head of the software department, describes the added value of the new offering.
The cloud basically generates an alarm notification for every critical change or in the event of a malfunction. This can be sent not only by e-mail, but also specifically as a push message. This means that, if necessary, service technicians can also be reached who have no access to their e-mails at all or, for example, who are temporarily unable to access their e-mails on the factory premises. They can intervene remotely at short notice or prepare a necessary field operation with the required material.
The extensive data logging generally goes back up to seven years and also enables long-term insights into the operating behaviour, thus facilitating predictive maintenance. Of course, the SKADEC software developers have integrated numerous security mechanisms into the cloud so that data security is guaranteed at all times.
