We at SKADEC pay attention to cost effectiveness, sustainability and energy efficiency. But also machine redundancy and safety as well as life cycle costs are considered criteria. We have developed a particularly sustainable system concept for our customers in cooperation with a partner company. The result of this cooperation is our own product range of propane chillers. These chillers work very efficiently with the natural refrigerant propane (R290) and therefore are already at the technical level of tomorrow. By using propane (R290), which has a GWP of 3, our propane chillers will be exempt from even stricter refrigerant regulations in the future. Propane as a natural refrigerant is proven to be efficient, safe, environmentally friendly and future-proof for the respective application. Propane chillers are designed with several separate refrigeration circuits in such a way that the refrigerant charge is low and high system availability is ensured. A comprehensive safety concept ensures safe operation of the system. Air-cooled propane chillers are available with reciprocating and screw compressors with hybrid or sliding free cooling in a capacity range from 5 kW to 1200 kW. For system safety, each chiller is equipped with a propane gas sensor and an EX fan for housing ventilation. In case of leakage the chiller is de-energized via two defined warning thresholds. The machine controller is controlled via the 7″ touch panel in German or English. Each propane chiller can be monitored by remote maintenance.
