Energy storage and heat recovery systems are now standard in modern refrigeration, air conditioning and heating systems. Our strength here lies in special sizes and designs outside the catalog range. The buffer tanks can be configured according to customer requirements and are available in volumes from 200 liters to 10,000 liters.
ADVANTAGES OF SKADEC BUFFER TANKS
Latent storage systems / PCM storage
The latent storage system can store thermal energy and release it again when required. Storage is based on the melting heat principle (phase change of the medium) with the advantage of storing large amounts of energy in a very small space. The PCM (phase change material) is contained in airtight welded plastic balls (HDPE) in a buffer tank and is frozen during charging and melted during discharging with the aid of a liquid carrier medium (e.g. glycol).
