R290 chillers from SKADEC are suitable for a wide range of applications. We have developed the particularly sustainable system concept in collaboration with our customers and partners. Advantages include the low refrigerant charge, the low GWP (global warming potential) as well as high efficiency and system availability.
Intelligent PLC control
We use PLC controls in all R290 chillers. The powerful automation solution ensures high system availability, low operating costs and service-friendly operation.
Machine housing / safety
Safety is a top priority at SKADEC. Our chillers have a closed machine housing with explosion-proof gas monitoring and explosionproof housing ventilation. In the event of a gas alarm, all components that are not EX-protected are de-energised. We are available to advise plant operators on how to prepare risk assessments.
VDE wired control cabinet
Circuit diagrams and flow charts are created on a project-specific basis. The chiller control cabinets are wired and tested according to VDE guidelines. We attach great importance to a standard-compliant load distribution and vibration-proof design.
Components from well-known manufacturers
SKADEC R290 chillers have frequency-controlled compressors, EC fans and speed-controlled high-efficiency pumps. The focus is on high processing quality.
Heat recovery in refrigeration mode (optional)
As an option, the chiller can be equipped with a second heat exchanger for all-year-round heat recovery. In refrigeration mode, the excess heat can be used, for example, to heat tap water. The chiller then has four hydraulic connections. Optionally, a constant flow can be ensured via an external 3-way valve.
Free cooling (optional)
SKADEC chillers are optionally available with a free cooling function. This allows the system’s compressors to be switched off at low outside temperatures. This means that only energy is required to operate the fans. Chillers with free cooling are therefore particularly efficient and resource-saving.
Sound insulation (optional)
Our SKADEC technicians also optimise low-noise requirements through individual planning and design. We utilise the entire spectrum of options for noise reduction: From low-noise fans to the use of particularly efficient and thick sound insulation in the compressor compartments. We also use specifically designed vibration mats, spring vibration dampers and Anacondas for effective vibration decoupling of both the individual components and the entire system. In special cases, individual noise-critical operating points can be omitted by adjusting the control technology.
