Newly developed cloud solution
SKADEC recently presented its newly developed cloud solution. For plant manufacturers and operators, this is a forward-looking remote maintenance solution that saves technicians’ limited time on the road and allows them to focus on solving faults, especially if there are several locations.
The SKADEC cloud guarantees full access to all relevant machine data and functions. The integrated Fleet Manager centrally manages and monitors all supported systems and enables remote fault analysis and rectification. “With this software solution, our customers can save up to 80% of time – depending on the type of possible faults,” says Christopher Hammel, Head of the Software Department, describing the added value of the new offering.
The cloud always generates an alarm notification for every critical change or malfunction. This can be sent not only by email, but also as a targeted push message. This means that service technicians who do not have access to their emails at all or, for example, temporarily do not have access to their emails on the factory premises can also be reached. They can intervene remotely at short notice or prepare a necessary field visit with the required material.
The extensive data logging generally goes back up to seven years and also provides long-term insights into operating behavior, thus facilitating predictive maintenance. Naturally, the SKADEC software developers have integrated numerous security mechanisms into the cloud to ensure data security at all times.
