Compact chiller for indoor installation
In mid-October 2022, SKADEC presented its new R290 compact chiller at Chillventa in Nuremberg. The system was designed for heating and cooling operation and was presented at the trade fair as a system ready for series production. Customers have the option of installing the compact chiller as a single machine or using it in an efficient cascade connection.
In addition to its compact dimensions, the highlight of the new SKADEC machine is the very low refrigerant charge with the natural refrigerant R290. With a cooling capacity of 7kW to 85kW per module, only 0.4 to 2.2 kg of refrigerant is required. This means that it is now possible to install the system within a building in accordance with the statutory safety precautions.
The intelligent control system was also developed and implemented by SKADEC. Each module has its own control system and can function independently. In the event of a fault in individual systems, autonomous operation of the compact chillers is ensured at all times. Several systems connected in parallel can be intuitively operated and managed centrally via a higher-level control system.
The compact chiller is now available to order in 11 different standard versions.
