Process cooling in the food industry
SKADEC supplied three air-cooled chillers to a customer in the food industry, which are specially designed for the challenges of modern process cooling and offer flow temperatures below 0°C.
Chillers
The refrigeration systems are operated with the natural refrigerant R290 (propane). This refrigerant has very good thermodynamic properties and enables a low charge due to the good density-evaporation heat ratio. In addition, low pressure levels and low final compression temperatures are possible and high efficiency is also guaranteed.

Advantages / Configuration
Natural refrigerant R290
Another advantage is that R290 is not subject to the F-Gas Regulation and therefore there are no restrictions on refilling during servicing and repairs. There are also no stricter regulations in force or planned in the area of leak testing.
