Compact chillers in the technology container
For a provider of cloud, hosting, managed services and IT consulting, SKADEC supplied three compact chillers, which now cool the data center at one of the locations with two free coolers and a buffer tank.
Compact chiller
Thanks to intensive planning and design, it was possible to set up the systems in a technology container according to the customer’s wishes. Thanks to the cascade connection of the compact chillers, it was also possible to meet the requirements for system availability and reliability.
The water-cooled SKADEC compact chiller installed in this project is available in nine different versions. It can be installed – as in this project – as an efficient cascade connection or as a single machine and requires only 0.4 to 2.2 kg of refrigerant per module with a cooling capacity of 7 kW to 85 kW. In addition to installation in a technical container, this flexible design even allows installation inside the building without having to meet special requirements for a machine room due to the propane refrigerant.

Natural refrigerant R290
The refrigerant R290 not only impresses with its environmentally friendly properties, but also in terms of energy efficiency, redundancy and system safety. It is also not subject to the F-Gas Regulation, which is why there are no restrictions on refilling during servicing and repairs.
