Heating and cooling for medical technology
Heat pumps with the natural refrigerant propane (R290) are also suitable for the optimum air conditioning of production facilities in medical technology. The air-cooled SKADEC heat pump easily meets the requirement of supplying all rooms with optimum heat, even at -10 degrees outside temperature and +50 degrees flow temperature, for our customer in the medical industry.
Heat pump
The 3-circuit machine is equipped with inverters on each compressor in order to run all load ranges with optimum efficiency. A further advantage of the system is the circuit-independent defrost function. All SKADEC multi-circuit heat pumps are always separated on the air and refrigeration sides to enable this function. This has a number of advantages for ongoing operation:
- Heating function is guaranteed throughout. If one circuit defrosts, the second circuit continues to generate heat.
- Increased safety for hot water preparation
- Higher efficiency through targeted defrosting function

Propane (R290) is not only very environmentally friendly, but also a technically sensible solution. Thanks to the excellent thermodynamic properties of the refrigerant, high energy efficiency is achieved during system operation.
